Farming Hopes For 2026

We look forward to implementing new programs and including new partners in the New Year. Feed My Sheep leadership continues to pursue the vision of a farming program to both enrich the lives of our friends in need and to offset the costs involved in providing fresh healthy food to the households we serve. The Feed My Sheep Board of Directors has been pursuing new lease agreements to meet this goal. After some encouraging discussions with Valley Isle Fellowship about a segment of their property, it came to pass that the best path forward is a new arrangement with Mahi Pono, Feed My Sheep’s current landlord.

Plans are being submitted for plots within Mahi Pono’s “Community Farming” project in Puunene in early 2026. Feed My Sheep staff is busy generating compost from food waste and plants are being cultivated and collected for placing in the ground within the next few months.
